Pastor Mark Coulter was called to our congregation to lead Lutheran Campus Ministry on March 15, 1999. Pastor Coulter was a member of Lutheran Campus Ministry when he was a UNC student and has a passion for sharing his faith as he helps students in their spiritual development. When he is not off with students or hanging around the church, he enjoys running and working on projects around his house. Mark and his wife Kathy have three daughters: Paige, Robin, and Janna.

Valerie began serving at HTLC in July of 2007 and was commissioned as an Associate in Ministry here on September 16, 2007. As Cantor, Valerie is responsible for leading all aspects of congregational song, including directing choral and instrumental ensembles and playing organ and piano. She is a graduate of Valparaiso University and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.

Adam began working at HTLC in August of 2010. Adam is responsible for children and youth ministries as well as Sunday morning education for all ages. Adam graduated from UNC in 2009 and received his master of teaching from UNC in 2010. He was an active member of HTLC&LCM during his time in college.

Tom has been the Bookkeeper for Holy Trinity since 2002. Tom has a BS in Business Administration from Miami University of Ohio, class of 1971. He was previously employed by Fire Service in Kettering, Ohio for 25 years having retired in August of 2000. Tom has been married for 30 years and has a wonderful family including 3 step-daughters, 8 step-grandchildren. He and his wife, Marilyn, currently reside in Carrboro where Tom likes to play guitar and paint in his free time.

Ruth Efird is our parish nurse. She works 16 hours a week providing help with physical, mental, and spiritual health needs of individuals in the congregation. Ruth coordinates hospital visits, home confined member visits through a pastoral care support team, home communion, healing and annointing ministry, works with the bereavement team to plan for funerals and reception, organizes medical supplies closet, and meets with other faith based community groups. The health ministry cabinet, made up of various health and spiritual professionals within our congregation, serves as her advisory group.
Heidi Rueckel relocated here from Long Island, New York in 1999 with her husband, Norbert, daughter, Monika and son, Christian. Norbert works in the computer field; Monika goes to Chapel Hill High and is an avid volleyball player and soccer player; Christian goes to McDougle Middle and enjoys playing soccer and baseball. After working as the Church Administrator, she spends most of her time going from one sporting event to another with her children. When she has any spare time, she enjoys shopping and cooking. Perhaps in the future, Heidi and her husband will be able to travel again.
