Community Outreach

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Volunteers knit shawls and / or contribute funds to purchase yarn.  The prayer shawls are given to members and friends at time of need.

 

Habitat for Humanity

Participants have regularly participated in building and paying for houses here in Orange County since 2005. HTLC is a part of the Building Hope Partnership which physically and financially builds a house yearly. 

 

Crop Walk

HTLC is an annual sponsor of this event, held each year in Aprio, which raises money to feed those in need.  Participants walk, sponsor walkers, and supply a water station along the route.

 

Inter-Faith Council

Non-perishable food items are collected every Sunday for the Inter-Faith Council to distribute.  Two Sundays a month, volunteers cook a meal for the homeless in our community.  HTLC is also a financial supporter of IFC.

 

National and Global Outreach

Volunteers regularly participate in hurricane relief trips and support of Safe Passage in Guatemala.. www.safepassage.org

 

Health Ministry

A group focused on the health and well-being of our congregation.

 

Global Missions

This congregation offers financial support to the ELCA’s work around the world, and frequently sends members to ELCA Global Missions Event.

 

Refugee Resettlement

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church has settled seven Burmese families in the community in partnership with Lutheran Family Services.
