Youth Activities

 

Youth Group

HTLC youth group is for grades 6-12. Youth group is held most Sundays from 5-6:15. This schedule does not always stay the same, so please check the calendar to find out specific dates and times.

 

Confirmation

Confirmation is a three year long process at HTLC. Students enter confirmation class during the 6th grade and are confirmed at the end of 8th grade. The confirmation class meets during the Sunday School hour. The confirmation class uses a curriculum called here we stand which over a three year period cycles through the Lord's Prayer and Sacraments, the Bible, and the Ten Commandments and the creeds. As part of confirmation students are also required to complete a service project each year, which focuses on serving the church as well as the greater community.

 

Youth Choir

Youth Choir meets most Sunday nights from 4-5pm. The choir is for grades 6-12 and sings about once a month at either the 8:30 or 11:00 service on Sunday mornings.

 

UNC Football Concession Stand

For over 3 decades the HTLC youth group has worked a concession booth at UNC football games to help raise money for the program. Some of the money raised also goes to the charity Safe Passage.
