A Way to Help

ELCA Disaster Relief and Lutheran Disaster Response of the Carolinas are on the ground to help in Western NC. They encourage us to please not send items directly or try to go there until teams can be established and specific needs assessed. However, financial gifts are welcome and needed!

You may give to NC Synod Disaster Fund or the ELCA Disaster Response

Also, Lutheridge (Arden) and especially Lutherock (Banner Elk area) have experienced quite a bit of damage. You may also give to Novus Way, if you would like to help the camps.

Every generation faces challenges and opportunities and innovations, and each generation challenges the next generation to see things differently or in a new way.

The Bible is a collection of stories, a library, of generations wrestling with, voicing, and articulating their experiences and questions with and for the Divine.  Expanding upon one another like an expanding vast universe.... and sometimes even disagreeing with each other.

But there is this continuity that binds it together.

We are a part of a vast collective family tree and ecosystem rooted and grounded in a universe where God’s wind, breath and Spirit isn’t sitting still, it’s still flowing and at work… Creating… re-creating… forming… re-forming… re-deeming. ~ Pastor Will
